I'm not photogenic and I've never done anything like this.
Almost every woman we photograph says this, and it's exactly why the session is fully guided. You'll be coached through every pose, angle, and expression. No experience required, and nervousness usually lasts about five minutes.
What happens at the free style consultation?
It's a friendly 15-minute call or text conversation. We talk about what you'd like your portraits to say, help you choose a style, plan wardrobe and dates, and walk you through pricing before you commit to anything.
How much does a portrait session cost?
Sessions begin at $500 and include professional hair & makeup, your styled and guided session, and a private reveal. Portrait collections vary based on what you'd like to take home, and everything is explained transparently before you book.
Is hair and makeup included?
Yes. Every session includes professional hair and makeup by our in-studio artist. Arrive as you are and relax while it's done.
What should I wear?
That's what the free style consultation is for. We'll plan your looks together based on the style you choose, and you'll also have access to our client wardrobe and accessories at the studio.
Do I need to bring my own outfits?
Bring the pieces you love, but you don't have to build a wardrobe from scratch. You'll have access to our client wardrobe and accessories, and multiple styled looks in one session are included, so you can go from polished to bold in the same day.
Which style should I choose?
There are four signature styles: Empowering Portraits, Fashion Unleashed, Express Yourself, and Wonderful Maternity. Not sure yet? That's normal. We'll help you decide at your free consultation.
Can I get professional headshots for LinkedIn or my website?
Yes. Headshots and personal branding portraits are one of the most requested sessions, with the same hair & makeup and guided posing. See headshots & personal branding.
Is this only for a certain age or body type?
No. We photograph women of every age, size, and background. That's the whole point. The experience is designed around you, not the other way around.
Where is the studio?
Our private studio is at 833 W Chicago Ave in Chicago's West Loop (IL 60642), easy to reach from anywhere in the city and suburbs. See the map and contact details.
Will my photos be shared online?
Not without your permission. Your session is private, and nothing is shared without your okay.
How do I see and choose my photos?
At a private reveal and ordering appointment, you'll see your finished portraits and choose the images you love.
